General Responsibilities
- Integrity: Maintain high standards; decisions must be objective and based on quality.
- Process Management: Oversee pre-screening, reviewer assignment, and final decisions.
- Ethics: Verify compliance with ethical standards and address research misconduct.
- Confidentiality: Protect manuscript content and reviewer identities.
- No Personal Use: Do not use unpublished data for personal or professional advantage.
Specific Guidelines for Editors
- Provide clear, constructive feedback for all decisions.
- Communicate promptly with authors and reviewers.
- Destroy copies of manuscripts after the decision process is complete.
- Assign reviewers based on expertise, diversity, and impartiality.
Guest Editor & Editor-in-Chief Roles
- Guest Editors: Manage special issues, select qualified reviewers, and submit recommendations to the EIC.
- Editors-in-Chief: Hold ultimate responsibility for quality, supervise operations, and make final decisions.
