Koozakar Festschrift

Generative AI Disclosure Policy

Koozakar mandates that authors explicitly disclose any use of generative AI tools in the preparation of manuscripts. This includes naming the tool, its model version, and its precise function (e.g., drafting, language polishing, figure generation). This disclosure should appear in the Methods or Acknowledgments section, with a clear separation between AI-generated content and human-authored contributions.

The responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of AI-assisted content lies entirely with the human authors. They must verify all outputs, ensure proper attribution, avoid plagiarism, and confirm factual correctness. AI systems must never be listed as authors, as they cannot take legal or moral responsibility for the work—only humans are accountable.

Authors are encouraged to upload all AI input prompts and generated outputs as supplementary materials for transparency. Koozakar also expects peer reviewers to disclose any AI usage during the evaluation process. Even when AI tools are used, human validation and oversight are mandatory to meet publication standards and ethical guidelines. This policy aligns with an emerging consensus among publishers that recognizes AI as a research aid, not an author, and emphasizes responsible human stewardship throughout the research and writing process.

One of Koozakar's goals is to be an exemplary role model in the publishing space, bringing quality products to professionals and institutions throughout the world.
