About Oluseye Oludoye, PhD (Editor in Chief)

Dr. Oluseye Oludoye is an Environmental Scientist and Lecturer at Teesside University whose research addresses the urgent sustainability challenges at the intersection of agriculture, pro-environmental behaviour, and global food systems. He leads funded projects spanning pesticide-free farming, food packaging reduction, and sustainable waste management, with a geographic footprint across Africa, Southeast Asia, and Europe. His interdisciplinary expertise builds on a PhD in Hazardous Substance and Environmental Management from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, where he conducted research on pesticide safety among cocoa farmers in Nigeria.

With over £127,000 in competitive research grants secured as Principal Investigator, Dr. Oludoye is currently leading the British Academy-funded project on the role of agricultural transformation in Sub-Saharan Africa in collaboration with the University of Johannesburg and the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He works with policy, academic, and grassroots stakeholders—including the International Cocoa Diplomacy, UK—to generate evidence-based solutions for climate-resilient, health-protective farming practices.

Dr. Oludoye has published in high-impact journals such as Scientific Reports, PLOS ONE, Resources, Conservation & Recycling Advances, and Journal of Agromedicine. He is a peer reviewer for intergovernmental and governmental agencies such as the UNEP (the GEO-7 Report), the United Kingdom Research and Innovation (UKRI), the British Council, and several prestigious journals. He also holds memberships in the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) Action networks on zero-pesticide agriculture and food loss prevention. In 2025, he was one of the 30 researchers in the UK who were awarded the prestigious Royal Society Pairing Scheme, recognising his growing role in shaping science-policy dialogue in the UK.

He supervises undergraduate, MSc, and PhD students, and contributes institutionally to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2029 preparation, research ethics review, and curriculum innovation. His teaching integrates real-world case studies, interdisciplinary collaboration, and co-designed learning, making him a dynamic academic voice committed to global sustainability transformation.
