Paul Hassan Ilegbusi is a distinguished public health expert, educator, and Christian leader with a remarkable career spanning over two decades. A Registered Community Health Practitioner since 1996, he has established himself as a leading figure in his field.
Ilegbusi holds esteemed memberships in various international organizations, including the International Academic and Research Consortium, Kenya; the Centre for Research, Innovation, Development and Entrepreneurship (CRIDE), United Kingdom; the Institute of Management Specialist, London; the Institute of Management Consultancy, Nigeria; and QUVAE Research and Publications, India.
As an accomplished academic, Ilegbusi serves as an Examiner, Examination Centre Coordinator, Clinical Skills Assessor, and Marker for the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN). He has authored several local and international publications showcasing his expertise in public health research. He is a reviewer for some international journals. He is an author with some titles in Amazon and Selar. A sought-after speaker, he has presented at various scientific conferences globally.
Ilegbusi is a passionate advocate for the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in research. He believes that AI can revolutionize the field of public health by enhancing data analysis, predictive modelling, and decision-making. Through his work, he aims to promote the adoption of AI-driven research methods and facilitate collaboration between researchers, policymakers, and industry experts.
In addition to his public health endeavors, Ilegbusi is a dedicated Christian leader, serving as Diocesan Synod Lay Secretary, Diocese of Akoko, Church of Nigeria, (Anglican Communion).
Ilegbusi holds various roles, including former Head of Community Health Department, Ondo State College of Health Technology, Akure, Nigeria; Community Health consultant; Health Manager and Administrator; and Primary Health Care Educator since 2011. He is also a certified African Reproducibility Network (AREN) Local Network Lead, further demonstrating his commitment to promoting research excellence and reproducibility in Africa.
He is an active member of several prestigious networks, including the African Reproducibility Network; Africana Journal Club, Kenya; and Association of Primary Health Care Educators of Nigeria.
Ilegbusi is married to 'Adunola, and they have three children. Through his multifaceted work, Ilegbusi continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of public health research, practice, and Christian leadership.
