Olamide Martins Ajayi is a development-oriented demographer and data analyst with strong experience in population studies, quantitative research, community leadership, and project coordination. With a degree in Demography and Social Statistics from the Federal University Oye-Ekiti and ongoing postgraduate studies in Demography and Population Studies at the University of Ibadan, he applies analytical rigour and research competence to understanding population dynamics, human development, and emerging socio-economic challenges in Nigeria.

Growing up in Iloro Ekiti in a large and culturally diverse household shaped his interest in social structure, demographic behaviour, and community well-being. Over the years, he has gained practical experience through engagements with the National Population Commission during his National Youth Service, the Federal University of Technology Akure, and the Ministry of Works, Akure—where he supported data collection, field operations, enumeration, and demographic reporting. These experiences strengthened his proficiency in statistical tools such as STATA, SPSS, Microsoft Office Suite, and qualitative interviewing techniques. Ajayi is also deeply committed to capacity building and knowledge transfer. He currently serves as a Research Mentor at Wale University, where he has supervised and guided three mentees in developing strong research foundations. Beyond this formal role, he has mentored more than 20 individuals in quantitative research, supporting them in data analysis, methodological design, research writing, and interpretation of demographic and socio-economic patterns.

He has demonstrated consistent leadership across academic and community platforms, serving as President of the NYSC Education and ICT CDS Group, President of the Fuoye Social Sciences Student Association, President of the Impact Leaders Club (Fuoye), and Director of Projects for the Rotaract Club. His responsibilities have included project planning, community mobilization, digital literacy initiatives, school outreach programmes, and institutional coordination. He also served as Public Relations Officer for the Iloro Community High School Old Students

Association and chaired the Field Trip Committee in his department. His involvement in youth development, sustainable development goals, and community advancement has earned him recognition across various institutions. Through his research engagements, advocacy work, and administrative roles, he has developed strong competencies
in human resource management, organizational planning, problem-solving, data interpretation, and stakeholder communication.

With advancing interests in population studies, urban development, research training, and policy analysis, Ajayi continues to contribute to knowledge creation and evidence-driven development. He brings a blend of analytical insight, leadership experience, mentoring capability, and strong interpersonal skills to roles requiring precision, teamwork, and strategic thinking
